Fabulous February!

February was a relatively quiet month for me shoot wise - but it left me lots of time to work on logos, kick-start an action plan for the year, plan the show season for 2017 and give my website a quick update. It was also the start of the Six Nations which filled up my weekend afternoons quite nicely!

The beginning of the month saw me head over to Buckinhamshire to photograph Fay and her lovely Clydesdale - Josh! At 19hh, Josh now holds the title of the biggest horse I've ever photographed! He was however, a gentle giant: Fay-and-Josh

Haygain

I continued to work with Haygain to produce some more images for their website. We travelled up to Bicester to photograph the whole range of products, alongside 2Gallop who were creating promotional videos for Haygain.

Bex's Visit

Bex, from Bex's Browbands and Collars came down to see us and spend a day with Jessie Kirby. Bex is delighted to now be working alongside Jessie and the rest of the Huntercombe team and will be sponsoring the ponies (and doggies!) with some beautiful browbands ready for their busy season. They're currently in Belgium for the CDIP so I'd like to wish them the best of luck!

Michelle Murray

Another of Jessie's sponsors is the lovely Michelle, she had asked me to photograph her at work. Michelle runs Equine Sports Massage in Berkshire. I joined her on a sunny afternoon to capture her massaging Tom and Orlando, Jessie's ponies. Massage is an important part of the ponies routines to ensure they are fit and supple to carry on dancing!

My second portrait shoot of the month was with Maz and Archie - her thoughtful husband Oli had organised the shoot for her birthday. Archie is a showjumper turned dressage diva. He was an absolutely fantastic model and him and Marianna looked so natural in front of the camera: Marianna-and-Archie

The month finished off with an extra special day - it's not every Monday morning that you get to spend it at Carl Hester's yard watching Charlotte work Valegro. What a treat!

February being a quiet month gave me the opportunity to take a break from shooting and focus on my plans for 2017. I had several exciting meetings with trial shoots coming up soon, as well as updating my much neglected blog.

The month finished off perfectly with it being Pancake Day! Well, I took it as the perfect excuse to have waffles for dinner - I had 3 layers of homemade waffles, smothered in Nutella, strawberries and raspberries.
