My role as your photographer is to capture those moments that can not only be seen but can be felt too. My relaxed and sympathetic approach allows me to record memories that you can treasure for years to come. Each shoot is unique just as is every relationship between horse and owner I photograph is.
An equine photoshoot allows you to have more than one horse photographed if you are lucky enough to own more than one! Other members of the family (including 4 legged!) can also be photographed with the horse during the shoot. Black Background images are available as part of each of the packages or if you'd like just the Black Background images, please click here.
The full balance for the shoot is required at the time of booking to secure your chosen day. Bookings are only available on weekdays - evenings are available during the Spring and Summer months.
This price covers a 40 mile round trip from Reading; (Berkshire, RG31 6SR) photoshoots outside of this region will be charged additional mileage at 40p a mile.
What To Expect
I will arrive at the location of your choice at the agreed time and I will introduce myself to you and your horses. Prior to the photoshoot I will ask you to fill out a short “Getting to Know You” form in which we discuss any particular shots you have in mind. You will also have access to the 'Client Area' of the website which should help you prepare for your shoot. Your horse should be clean and pampered before my arrival. Upon arrival, I will have a little look around the surroundings to consider the backgrounds and where best to begin.
Different outfits are recommended to add variation to the photoshoot; find something that you are comfortable wearing. If you want help deciding what to wear, feel free to drop me a message. Bring along more than you need to and I'll help you put an outfit together! More information about preparing for your shoot will be sent to you, in more detail, at the time of booking.
I have experienced many different situations - some animals love to pose for the camera whilst others will fidget! I want to make each and every shoot enjoyable for everyone I have the pleasure of photographing for. Don't panic if your horse keeps snatching the grass or doesn't like that tree I want him to pose under. Relax - my pockets come packed with polos and treats as well as rustly packets/squeaky toys in order to get their attention and ears forward.
The 'Great British Weather' - is not so great at times! We can't always predict the weather in advance and a miserable, rainy day will put a damper on your photo session. Photoshoots will go ahead if it is cloudy, but in the event of horrible weather, flooding, or snow your photoshoot may be cancelled and re-scheduled. If necessary, I will contact you as early as possible to postpone the shoot to another time.
Ideally you should be able to bring an extra pair of hands along to the shoot to assist in holding your horse when necessary, as well as helping me keep their attention and their ears forward.
Gift vouchers can be tailor made to produce the perfect package for you to gift to a loved one, or for the specific shoots you can see listed here. Packages can include the shoot, a selection of prints, canvases and other options.
A gift voucher is the most perfect, thoughtful gift. A photoshoot is truly timeless! The images will capture lasting memories which will be proudly displayed forever. A specific date, such as a Birthday, can be chosen when purchasing a voucher, or it can be left to the recipient to decide - the vouchers are valid for one year.
Printed with a blank space for you to add your own message. Each one will come with an envelope ready to brighten up someone's special day.
Vouchers can be ordered by emailing me or using the contact form below.
I will join you on your favourite dog walk to capture your dog (or dogs!) in a setting they are familiar to; in a range of portrait and un-posed shots as they enjoy their walk.
Get In Contact
These shoots continue to grow in popularity, the 30 minute sessions use only natural light to create a timeless studio-style portrait of your horse.
That's me! I'm usually found crouched in the mud, or lying on my tummy in the long grass to get that perfect shot!
My shooting style is super relaxed but I'll always be on hand to offer you direction and plenty of posing advice. I know that having your photo taken isn't always the most enjoyable experience, but we'll have a laugh along the way and capture some beautiful images of you with your horse.
Please drop me a message if you have any questions or would like to know more about what a shoot entails!
