Becky contacted me after some previous customers recommended me on a local horsey Facebook group. Becky had decided to sell her beautiful gelding Bo. It all happened very quickly so it was a bit of a last minute message to ask if I was able to come over the weekend. After initially being booked for that weekend, I managed to re-arrange that shoot so I could meet Becky and Bo on the Saturday; Bo was due off to his new home on Sunday!
I was so happy to be able to accommodate Becky and Bo so that she’d have some lovely lasting memories to remember him by. We headed off down to the school to photograph them both. Bo was very excited by the whole situation but once he was listening, we got some lovely photos!
Becky had also asked if I could take some photographs of herself, Bo and her daughter, Dora. You know, they say: never work with animals and children… well Dora decided she’d stop smiling once Bo had his hears forward – typical! And then when Dora was looking, Bo was pulling faces! I did manage to get some lovely family photos with everyone looking at the camera and stroking Bo. We did almost have a moment when Dora decided to feed my rubber duck to Bo who briefly stood there squeaking it between his teeth. My lovely assistant for the day, Laura, managed to rescue the duck!
Laura also pointed out that we had ended up being followed by the yard cat! Luckily I didn’t manage to get him in too many photos and he was easily removed from the photos he did end up in! Before Bo got too bored we headed back to the stables to take some photographs on the black background. He was such a handsome horse which made the black background images even more striking.
Thank you for having us Becky! All the best to Bo in his new home and I hope you can treasure the photographs of you and him together as a little reminder of your time together.
