Autumn is my absolute favourite season of the year - it's a photographers dream with those vivid golds, ambers and rich chocolatey hues; with the nights starting to slowly draw in, the crunch leaves under foot.
“Fall has always been my favourite season. The time when everything bursts with its last beauty, as if nature had been saving up all year for the grand finale.”
The first and most obvious reason to have a shoot this Autumn is because of it's beauty! I've already mentioned the incredible colours that Autumn gifts us with, but there are many more things that make Autumn beautiful.
The low, warm Autumn sun filters through the leaves that are beginning to turn; dew creates jewel like pearls in the grass that catch the light filtered behind the hazy mist, settled just above the treeline.
"Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower."
The harsh summer sun has slipped away, taking the flies away and bringing a soft warmth to your skin. Wrap up in your favourite jacket, adorned with a patterned or thick wool scarf and long country boots. A velvet finish to your horses coat as they begin to grow that winter coat, their warm breath catching the cold air as the emeralds change to copper.
If you're feeling brave - the restrictions on riding at the beach are lifted by the end of September. It's every horse owners dream to ride along the sand with their horse, atleast once.
The rain will soon be on it's way - save your self some preparation time and beat the inevitable mud!
It's still just about light enough in the evenings to fit in a shoot after work or school!
