Sarah and Hero

Meet Sarah and her skewbald gelding, Hero! After a fantastic journey together, sadly, it was time for Hero to head back to his owner.

Sarah has enjoyed getting to know Hero and watch him develop as a horse, both on the ground and under saddle.

Only 5 years old, he had the most wonderful tempremant and personality, as well as being absolutely gorgeous! Sarah wanted to remember the time they had together and thought the black background shots would be a perfect way to show off his handsome face! We had been very lucky with the weather as the initial forecast hadn't looked great!

The focus of the shoot was all about Hero. He'd been bathed and brushed ready for his moment in front of the camera. We popped him back in his stable, fascinated by the octopus, he looked out the doorway, ears pricked! We got him to look side to side, he obliged following the squeaking noise as Sarah walked back and forth behind me.

Sarah wasn't too keen on being in front of the camera, but agreed it would be a nice thing to do! The views from the yard are absolutely amazing, you can see right across towards Pangbourne, Streatley, Blewbury and beyond to the Ridgeway. A short trek up the hill was totally worth it for those views!

After the shoot, Sarah and Hero were heading off in the lorry for a cross country schooling session! Sadly, Hero has now headed back home. Once Sarah had seen him off on his travels, she headed round to pick up her photographs from me. I hope they serve as a lovely reminder for the time you spent together, thank you!
