Meet Lauren, her mum Jane and their pony Jigsaw! Lauren saw my post in March about mother/daughter shoots that I was offering for Mother’s Day and went ahead and booked a session for herself and her Mum.
Jigsaw is 18 years old and they’ve owned her for a few years. Lauren said she’s a lovely all-rounder pony but is particularly good at dressage.
Just as Phoebe and I arrived at the yard it started to spit with rain. However this lasted a matter of seconds and the sun came out for the rest of the shoot!
We were spoilt for choice when it came to locations. We all headed down the road to a beautiful common with lovely open fields full of flowers. Jigsaw was in heaven – soooo much grass!
We spent the majority of the shoot down on the common. There was a bench for them to both sit on too. It was really enjoyable photographing Jane and Lauren, they were both so natural in front of the camera which made my job really easy.
On the way back to the yard, Jane asked me to take a few pictures in a little archway of trees with cow parsley lining the edges. It made a very pretty backdrop for photos but Jiggy had other ideas and refused to put her ears forward here!
Back at the yard Lauren changed in to a lovely dress and we met the rest of the family with their two spaniels for some group family photos.
The shoot then concluded with a few bareback shots and Lauren walking through a beautiful crop field. Of course, we were very careful and only stuck to the tracks and didn’t step on the crops themselves.
Thank you so much – it was lovely to meet you both, as well as Jigsaw. I hope you love your images!
