..he's well known for his amazing wildlife and equine artwork and his bad sense of humour, but here's a little more about Irish artist Tony O'Connor...
How are you spending lockdown and what are you most looking forward to once it's lifted? I’m honestly finding lockdown tough.. my mother in law has moved in with us & it’s just adding to a stressful time in itself. Finding creating stuff very difficult with the uncertainty & with exhibitions & events cancelled.. I’m even thinking, why even bother try to create.
What's your favourite joke?
Fave joke? But there are sooo many!!! But:
How do you turn a duck into a soulful singer?
Put it into a microwave until it’s bill withers!
What/who would you dress up as for a fancy dress party?
Batman of course lol
What piece are you most proud of?
Unique.. an oil on canvas from 2019. Long story.. but I’ll never sell her.
...now dying to know the story!
Who would your 3 dream dinner guests be?
Umm, Sir David Attenborough, Brian O Driscoll & Nigella Lawson
What would be your dream commission?
Dream commission would be literally any commission that didn’t utter the words ‘I love it, but can you change....’ lol
I wouldn’t mind someone commissioning a huge Pegasus piece, just letting me have free rein .. other than that, never having to do a commission ever again would be the dream!
...now you have to ask me a question
Who would play you in the movie of your life? Big screen Hollywood version!!
Oh - didn't expect such a hard question! I have no idea, urm - I'm so bad with names!
My favourite movie is Mamma Mia (I love the first and the second) but my life defo isn't like that... or maybe the girl who is in Heartland.. they'd have to be someone horsey!
When I asked my friend she said - Anna Kendrick (as did my Dad!) or Emma Watson!
